In Uptown San Antonio you’ll find Alamo Heights, Terrell Hills and Olmos Park. The area goes north from there to 1604 and is bordered to the west by 281 and 35 to the east. The San Antonio International Airport and the 976 acre McCallister Park is also located smack in the middle of this area and still in San Antonio. The park even has a dog park.
For shopping, you have North Star Mall, an older and older shopping mall (the one with the famous Texas boots outside) is in Uptown as well as San Pedro Town Center and Park North Plaza.
There are multitudes of shopping areas and restaurants in this area and it's quite close to both downtown and the airport since it is centrally located.
Homes in the area are priced from $49,000 for a condo to a 1920’s mansion for $4,748,000. Now that's a big difference.
The boundaries for Uptown have Alamo Heights and Terrell Hills towards the south border and 1604 as the north border. It includes areas to the west of 281 and to 35 on the east.
